As the grass starts growing and the sun continues shining, the need for landscaping arises. Out comes all of the latest and greatest lawn engineering tools. The proud and zealous home owner can be so engulfed in the performance of their new tools that rocks can fly....everywhere.... including the sliding glass door.
After the shock wears off, you realize that there are some decisions to make: buy a new door and have it installed. That could get messy. There's the stucco repair, new paint that probably won't match, and the risk of not getting a water tight seal. Plus, good luck on finding the exact same door as it's most likely discontinued. And last but not least it will be costly.
Or...., you could have just the glass replaced. This alternative leaves the original door intact and almost completely eliminates the risk of a broken seal as only the glass itself will be replaced. In addition to a timely install the cost is much more affordable than the previous alternative.
It is important to note that in either choice, having an experienced professional perform the installation is highly recommended.
